Key words: drop jump, electromyographic analysis, preactivation, prepubescent

Abstract

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the difference in electromyographic patterns (amplitude and onset of EMG activity) of the gastrocnemius medialis muscle (GM) between prepubescent and adults during the preactivation in a drop jump task from 20cm in h. Eight prepubertal boys and 8 untrained male adults (9,9+0,5, 24,5+3,5 ages) participated in the study. All participants performed five drop jumps from 20cm (DJ20) height and this study focused only on their pre-landing activity. The following electromyographic variables which assessed were the following: onset of EMG prior to landing and its relevant value during this period in prepubescent and adults. The obtained results showed that adults' EMG onset of GM occurred significantly earlier compared to children's (p<0.01). Additionally, adults presented higher EMG value in the same muscle than children. In conclusion, adults seems to control their muscle preactivation activity more effectively than children do, during a drop jump task, indicating thus that they possibly are able to regulate more optimally their joint stiffness during landing.

Invatare si creatie in jocul de volei

Abstract

The acquisition of the technical-tactical actions in volley-ball is mainly planned on a psychological ground, especially for the development of the tactical creative thinking of the volley-ball player.

The capacity of processing information's, of anticipating some probable actions and the rapidity of taking a decision represent an important role in the hierarchical structure of the intellectual aptitudes which sometimes influences in a decisive manner the sportive performance. Between the psychological processes and learning is an interdependence relation. Learning, especially in its intensive forms contributes to the shaping, structuring and even forming of the psychical processes in such a way that not only it enriches the content, but also imposes the constitution of new operational means of restructuring or even special reorganization of the whole human psychical system.

In conclusion the specific learning of the bodily activities is a complex learning which includes both motric learning (skill, ability) and intelligent creative learning, (acquisition of notions, concepts).

Oboseala la inotatori. Studiu bibliografic

Key words: fatigue, swimming, high performance

Abstract

Any type of physical effort, professional or sportive, either caused during physical education classes (in schools), trainings or during contests leads to an unpleasant feeling. This feeling of fatigue because of the parameters of effort, mainly intensity, volume, complexity can appear locally or in the whole body.

Many studies tried to define fatigue and explain its physiological mechanisms that determine it. The paper represents a bibliographic study trying to emphasize the main causes of fatigue during swimming training, as well as reactions of the body in order to adapt and delay fatigue.

Abstract

We believe that the problem we treat is very important and tries to demonstrate the profound and multilateral implication of science in the sports domain, where it has been confirmed that science has become a component and a condition for great performance.

To exemplify the implications of science we desire to point out facts that are unanimously known in specialized literature such as imperfect executions, uncoordinated moves, improper reactions are hard to correct after having reached a certain level of specialization. The forming of dynamic stereotypes which composes the essence of technical-tactic skills imposes a way of approaching this matter not only from the point of view of the muscular system but also from the central nervous system and especially from the cerebral cortex.
