Abstract
Hypotheses. We are tempted to believe that the most part of the control events and norms are not consistent with the athletic events, with the training level, with the selected moments and that their power of prediction is low. For this reason, we shall try a statistic argumentation and the recurrent logics resulted from this one.
Methods used in the application. In this application were included 31 senior and junior male and female throwers, at all types of throws: javelin, hammer, discus and weight during 2006-2007. The control events taken into account are those results that preceded the contest result three weeks ahead the competition, at the most.
Interpretation of the data. In order to facilitate the results interpretation, we resorted to their grapho-analytical processing, by using statistical functions (correlation).
Javelin Throw. The javelin throw results that I registered in this work show that the male and female throwers' labels can be differentiated hardly in the case of the low performances and can be differentiated suddenly in the case of the high performances. This is a first sign that the control norms should follow the same rules of differentiation, either by labels, or by nature.
Weight throw. The incidence of the value results is greater than the incidence of the weak results. The explanation would be that the samples are not randomized, the listed throwers seem to have been selected or the valued competition frequency for the analyzed period seems to be higher.
Hammer throw. First of all we have found that the labeling of the results in this event is relatively constant regarding the progress ratio. As for the control events, we have found significant correlations only for the standing long jump, rowing like pulls and pull out.
Discus throw. The labeling characteristic of the competition results in the discus throwing event demonstrate that this event is suitable for statistical interpretation and that the progress ratio is relatively the same for the label changes. The distance or the sportive result in the competition that takes place immediately after the control events registration is significantly correlated only with the standing long jump, pulling and throws without spinning.
Conclusions. A small part of the control events applied with the agreement of the Romanian Federation of Athletics are significant and offer information that motivate an acceptable prediction for the results of the next competition. These events are the following: standing long jump, pulling for the javelin throw; detent, genuflections, pushing from lying down position, standing long jump, weight throwing forward, weight throwing backward for weight throwing; standing long jump, snatch for discus throw; standing long jump, rowing like pulls, snatch for hammer throw.

Abstract
This paper concerns a multimedia technique which studies the timing of lifting the bar, in power-lifting events. By means of the software Avi Synth, one can evaluate the different biomechanical phases of this technical element. This program allows an accurate analysis of the lifting, on film images, with a precision of 1/1000 seconds, in real time, which can be useful for both athletes and coaches, during the training sessions, in order to maximize the subjects' technical skills.

Abstract
The aim of the present study was to investigate the relations between obesity, and alcohol consumption in Greek students. In the present study, 3019 students, 1451 men and 1568 women, of seven Universities of Greece [territory], took part. Reported weight and height were used to estimate body mass index [BMI]. BMI was used for the evaluation of the degree of total obesity, accordingly to the values for adults set by World Health Organisation [WHO]. Moreover, the students answered to questionnaires in order to be evaluated the alcohol consumption. For the statistical analysis the statistic packet SPSS/PC version 15.0 for windows was used. Data analysis showed that the most subjects of the whole sample were drinking alcoholic beverages, while the Ľ of them were drinking many times per week. However, only a 14.8% of the subjects, in total, didn't drink alcoholic beverages at all. In addition, a J-shaped relationship was found between the alcohol consumption and BMI in men only. Men drinking less than one time per month had a lower BMI than non-drinkers or men drinking more than one time per month. As for women, the lowest BMI was seen in non-abstaining women consuming alcohol one time per week, while the differences between the women consuming alcohol less or more than one time per week were not big. Finally, significant positive correlations between BMI and the times men and women were consuming alcohol are observed, indicating that as much the alcohol consumption is increased, BMI is, also, increased. The results of the present study, therefore, indicate that alcohol consumption may be a risk factor for obesity, but this has to be confirmed in longitudinal studies.

Abstract
The way we breathe is essential for body dynamics, especially when involving prolonged efforts which characterized resistant training.
Follow the idea that negative muscle work uses less oxygen consumption when it is lengthen, yet they are characterized by high force production than positive work, I perfected this new method that can bring to a high performance in a relative short time. The basic of the technique consists in synchronizing ventilation, heart beats and flexion-extension cycle movements.

Abstract
As in the case of all the major competitions of the last 11 world championships, and also European, South American, African and recently, the new European semifinals and finals of the EC- 2008, we have pursued and accomplished practical inferences that represent the new characteristics of the 21st century high performance football.
This paper is the first part of the EC- 2008 analysys, for clubs and national teams.
The EC- 2008 study for the professional clubs in analogy with the EC- 2008 study for the national teams represents a special opportunity to compare these two great continental competitions; and the conclusions drawn will help specialists to confront it with their personal opinions and apply the best solution specific to the team and the respective coach.
